Pete Reiser was a former American professional baseball player who played center fielder in Major League Baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Boston Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Cleveland Indians.
Born on March 17, 1919, in St. Louis, Missouri, Reiser started playing baseball at a young age, and he quickly became known as one of the best young players in his area.
Reiser made his major league debut in 1940 with the Brooklyn Dodgers, and he quickly established himself as one of the best players in the league.
He led the league in batting average in 1941 with .343, and he was named an All-Star for the first time in his career.
